Sephora mini haul

Yesterday I had a much needed shopping day & one of the places I went to was Sephora. Weeks before I was on their site putting items on my shopping list so I can know what I already want. I didn't get everything on my list but I gotten the things I really wanted to try out.

So first up is the Bare Minerals Customizable 8-piece Get Started Kit.

I'm not really been the type to wear make-up but I want to start to so I thought this would be a perfect product to start with. I've been on youtube watching a lot of reviews about it and I heard good news about it. I love the fact that it gives a light coverage but hide blemishes perfectly at the same time. Plus it suppose to give a healthy glow to your skin.
Review coming soon!

Josie Maran's Argan Daily Moisturizer Spf 40

Argan oil is the latest craze for skin care right now. It suppose to clear and rejuvenates & also creates a nice glow. Plus you can put argan oil on your nails and hair to make them stronger. I got this product because all of Josie Maran's products is all organic and this moisturizer is spf 40. I rarely see a moisturizer with a high Spf, you usually see spf-15.
I also heard that this works great as a foundation primer.

Carol's Daughter Hair Balm Liquid Pomade

I always heard a lot about carol's daughter even before it became a mainstream product. She have a lot of product for natural, curly & relaxed hair type. Basically it suppose to be natural/organic, with out all the bad things like sulfate.
I must say it's kind of expensive though.

Murad Acne Rapid Response Set

Now this one wasn't on my shopping list. I actually had a different set from clinique but the person that was helping me told me that this might help me better. plus it was cheaper! Lately my face been acting an ass, a lot of breakouts and very dry. I'm just trying to change up my daily regimen. I used this last night & since it's just been one day, I don't see any improvements. but we will see!

Pacifica Kona Coffee & Sugar Detox

I only got this because of the great reviews. I tried it out last night and it felt so weird scrubbing it on but it did leave my skin soft and smooth. It doesn't have a strong smell to it either.

Upcoming fall trends.

There is a lot of colors thats been catching my eye for the upcoming fall season. These fall trends will take you back in time to the 70's. A lot of dark rich colors, long chiffon shirts and skirts, burnt orange, browns & platform shoes. Think very hippy like with some class.
A lot of color blocking with the fall colors, beautiful old school prints and floral designs.
mix & matching of prints & patterns.

Some fall colors.

Some examples.

Style Watch: Kelly Rowland

I like her better in long hair instead of short hair, plus the chinese bangs works for her.
I love her style...not so much her music

Topstyler.

Anybody tried it? How is it?
Thinking about getting one when my money is looking right.

1. Q: What is the TopStyler?

A: The TopStyler is a brand new innovative hair styling tool that reinvents the way you create curl, wave, texture and body into your hair. You can create fun and innovative movement to the hair, explosive texture and even Hollywood red carpet looks. How is that possible? The secret is the patent pending design of the 100% solid ceramic lined shells we call C- Shells. When the C-Shells heat on the rapid heat Thermal Base, they create the perfect temperature to reshape and set the hair, safely. TopStyler works on all hair types and most lengths, and is based on forming your hair section into a simple finger curl.

2. Q: how do the C-Shells work?

A: Unlike most round or flat heat styling tools that press the hair with a really high temperature, TopStyler works with a gentle heat that cradles the hair evenly from root to end. The C-Shells work at the right temperature to reshape the hair in a short amount of time to lock in the style.

3. Q: Will the heat from the TopStyler C-Shells damage my hair?

A: Curling irons, flat irons and hot rollers can burn and fry your hair. The TopStyler has an innovative 100% solid ceramic shell system which requires much lower temperatures to set styles than most conventional hair tools. The C-Shells cradle your hair section infusing uniform low amounts of heat over the length of the hair shaft setting the style.

4. Q: How is the TopStyler better than my curling iron or hot roller set?

A: Let us count the ways! FREEDOM! Less time in front of mirror; put the
C-Shells in, walk away, let cool and set. Spend more time on whatever you choose. Buy yourself some time. FREEDOM to choose different styles; the roller or barrel will no longer dictate your fashion look. Choose a different style every day. FREEDOM to use a system that wont fry your hair. FREEDOM, VARIETY of STYLES, and HEALTHY HAIR

First of the month.

The first of the month is when bills need to be paid, which equals more stress for me. The only thing I need to focus on is rent, but thats half a grand! Luckily I have enough to pay for this month's rent but I really don't know about the month of August. So that means, no more shopping and picking up more hours at work. :(  Times are real hard for everybody, so I can't call my parents. Plus I feel bad because I usually help my family out if I have some extra cash but I don't even have extra for myself. I'm really thinking about them more then my financial needs. At this moment I'm just taking it one day at a time. I know everything will turn out ok... just got to have faith.

p.s: just got off from work...I'm sooo tired!
