I bought this book because I thought it was cute. You know how amazon have a place where they post items you might like on their first place? Well thats where I saw this book at and I thought why not...I like books about Southern traditions and mystical stuff. It's not one of those books where you will learn from it, it's just a book to keep you entrained. I think it did a real good job doing that. I'm ordering more books off amazon so I'll keep yall posted on that.

DIY Acrylic nails: My new hobby

I think it was last week that I was looking at my nails in disgust, wondering when am I going to get my nails done. Then I remember that I'm not in Houston where I can get a full set for $15, and I'm not about to pay $30 dollars for them here. So I got on youtube and start watching do it yourself tutorials on acrylic nails. I think I watched about 50 videos and I've became like addicted to the different types of acrylic, colors, and designs that you can do to your nails without going to the nail shop. Everything you need to do nails is either online or at a beauty supply store. I bought most of my stuff at Sallys. I even bought a drill on amazon.

So I finally did my own nails last night...& about three hours later I was done. lol I think the more I do it, I will get better but I love them. I really think I did well for my first time. Since I'm left-handed, my right hand looks wayyy better than the other hand. I also was watching youtube videos on making your own glitter acrylic so I will be experimenting with that soon. But yea... let me know if yall want me to do a video on it or if yall have any questions just let me know!

Movie Review: Thor

I know, I know I've been gone for a min but I have a movie review for yall...well actually 2!

Story line: "Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior, is sent down to Earth as punishment for reigniting a reckless war. But after a dangerous villain from his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth, the hammer-wielding Thor will learn what it takes to be a true hero in order to save mankind."

I actually seen this movie like 2 weeks ago. Before going into this movie, I didn't really understand what Thor was actually about. I knew it was something dealing with mythology but I never knew the story behind it. As you watch the movie, it tells you the story and clears up any questions you had. To my surprise, I liked the movie a lot. It wasn't the best movie of the summer but it's one of the movies that makes me wish there was a part 2. If you like mystical fantasy type of movies then you will like this. The story line was cute, nothing too deep about it. Even though it was suppose to be an action pack movie...there wasn't a lot of action. The action scene that they did had was a fun experience to watch. Chris Hemsworth...one word. Sexy! That was a nice eye candy. I would definitely have this in my movie collection.

Beyonce's Upcoming Album "4"

I'm a big Beyonce Fan, but I'm kinda of iffy about her next album. 

She talks about how its going to be a lot of different type of genres such as from electric pop. I think she should stick to what she knows, but hey I'm not in the music biz. 

Plus I don't really care for her new single, but the video is Hot! The dance moves all the way to the outfits was on point. I'm just waiting for the song to grow on me..

Movie Review: Fast Five

A couple of days ago I went to go see Fast Five, after I heard so talk about how it's the best one so far. I've always been a fan of Fast & the Furious, but after the 3rd movie I kinda lost interest in it. With that being said, I didn't watch the 4th movie. The good things about Fast Five you don't really have to watch all the movies before this one to know what's going on, and to my knowledge they started Fast Five where they left off at the end of the 4th movie. 

There was some things I didn't like and I did like about the 5th installment of The Fast & the Furious. Before I start I'm going to let it be known that it was a good movie. It wasn't great like everyone hyped it up to be, but it was a good movie. One of the good things that I like was that they had characters from the past 4 movies to come back. It help connect Fast Five to all the other movies. Another plus is that it's not just about cars and the high speed chase like the past movies but they also show the characters on a person level. I love the Rock and all but I think he over acted, or maybe thats just how the director wanted him to be portrayed. The one thing I didn't like about this movie was that some of the scenes was just unrealistic. Like you know that could never happen in real life. I would give this movie a B-. Go check it out.

Pieces of Me - Week of 5/17

I know I have been kind of m.i.a lately due to school & working. Since school is out until summer school begins,  I have some time on my hands. Instead if summing up my week, I'm going to summer up these past 2...or 3 weeks. & you know what's funny? I started this on the 10th and I'm just now getting to it lol Lets begin...


-1. I got those Betsy Johnson earrings that I posted! Beautiful. & for a good price too.
-2. I'm so excited to be going back home for the weekend. The last time I've been home was for spring break in March.
-3. Remember when I said that my Ochem exam whooped my ass? Well I was wrong! I made a B on that exam & passed the class! I'm just happy that I don't have to retake that class. 
-4. This semester was a good one. My gpa for this semester is a 3.2, which is good, considering I was taking 6 classes. Hopefully I can kick ass in summer school...which reminds me that I need to start applying nursing school.
-5. Since I been gone, I bought a lot of things. At a good price though. Idk if I should do a post with everything or just wait till I wear them. 
-6. Lastly, I'm going to have a new section on the blog. The new section will be cooking/food. I've been meaning to do this for the longest but to be honest I just been lazy to post. Since I'm at the point where I should know more about cooking, I'm going to let you guys follow me through trial and error. Yes I can cook but thats to an extent. I'm going to post recipes that I love and sometimes do meal of the week type of post.

Graduation: December 2011

1.     The day for me to walk that stage is slowly but surely creeping up on me. For the next of couple of days, some of my friends will be walking the stage. I'm so proud of everybody that started this journey with me four years ago and words can't explain how I feel right now. Every time I see someone I know tweet about graduating I'll smile because anyone that's in college knows how it is. lol I'm happy but so overwhelmed that this journey is coming to an end but at the same time there is a new path to follow. It feels like a just graduated high school!

 I know God have a lot in store for me, for all of us. 

To all the new graduates, It's been a long journey but you made it! 

& I wish you the best of luck in whatever adventures that you decide to take.
